Three short stories from our class
Dilnoza: Last winter I lost my bag on the bus. My phone, my keys, everything! I couldn't believe it. Two days later a woman brought it to our door — nothing was missing. It was strange, but wonderful.
Bekzod: My teacher, Mr Parker, gave me a watch at the end of the year. I said thank you about ten times. Then I looked again: it wasn't working! We both laughed at it. Very funny.
Malika: My best friend moved to another city in Year 5. We were good friends then, and we are still good friends now — we write every week. People say friendships change from strong to weak, but ours didn't change at all.
Savollar: 1. Why does Dilnoza call her story strange? · 2. Why was the watch funny? · 3. Are Malika and her friend still friends? · 4. Which of the three stories is sad? Why?
